Review: Do It Yourself by Nikky Kaye

Sarah began her DIY education by ditching the biggest tool in her garage—her husband. Now after her divorce, she’s realizing that not just her marriage was boring, beige and transitional. She wants to renovate herself, but she’s in over her head.

Luckily, Chris the hot young handyman is teaching her how to screw, drill, and hammer—and also how to use her power tools.

Together they’re updating her wiring and unclogging her pipes. But when Sarah worries that she’s treating Chris like her own personal power tool, what will she do? Will she pull the plug?

DO IT YOURSELF is a funny, sexy 25,000-word novella about assertiveness, assumptions, and assitude. It's rated M for Metaphor-heavy!

I am not usually a big fan of first person reads. You have to grab my attention and keep me reeling, well Do It Yourself by Nikky Kaye did just that.

The character Sarah shares her life after a divorce and taking on a remodeling project by herself. Hitting her limit, handy man Chris comes to save the day. Not just in remodeling her bathroom but her life as well. This story reads as if you are talking to your girlfriend as she shares her sexy new adventures with a younger man. This fun quick read will have you in giggles as well as give you some new fantasies.

I enjoyed the conversations Sarah and Chris shared comparing bathrooms and relationship. You will never look at a bathroom the same again. Have a cocktail in hand while catching up with your new BFF. This story will have you blushing and wanting more.
